Abstract
Laporan Akhir ini berjudul “Rekondisi Alat Hot Mounting Press Spesimen Metalografi di Laboratorium Mekanik Teknik Mesin” bertujuan untuk melakukan perbaikan dan penambahan komponen pada alat hot mounting press yang telah lama tidak beroperasi selama 14 tahun, sehingga alat tersebut dapat beroperasi kembali dan dapat berguna untuk membantu pratikum mahasiswa kedepanya. Alat hot mounting ini memiliki beberapa komponen tambahan seperti Temperature control dan thermocouple sehingga panas yang berada didalam heater dapat dideteksi dan bila sampai ketitik panas yang telah ditentukan alat akan otomatis berhenti beroprasi dan penambahan bak penampungan air bawah yang berfungsi sebagai penampung air yang keluar dari mounting unit setelah mendinginkan heater yang dibantu oleh pompa air sehingga air yang keluar tersirkulasi dan kembali mengisi bak penampungan atas.
