Abstract
Guiding The Tourists in a One-Day Musi Tour (Dinda Gustia, 2015, 4 Figures, 3 Tables) Good performance assessment to guide influence quality when he/she was on duty and responsibility to tourists during the trip. However, based on the facts found by the writer through the pilot study, that there are some problems in the application of their duties in serving tourists, such as dividing less attention (in terms of health or comfort) for all tourists, and sometimes the travel does not commit their itinerary. So, the writer is interested in observing how the tour guide conducts his tour guide duties and whether the tour guide meet job description in conducting tour program or not. In this case the writer focus on Musi Tour in Palembang city. And the results found through the three data collection methods of observation, interview and questionnaire, found that only a few performance of the tour guide are not in accordance with the existing job description, such as the problem in guiding the tourists is that the guide was unable to extend his services to all the tourists, then the guide had a flat voice and others. From the twelve lists of job description that the writer develops from the existing theory, so it can be concluded that the performance of the guide fulfill most of the requirements from the job description.
