Abstract

Noprian Andra NIM. 0611 3020 0832. Simulation Design of movement is Rear Dump and Side Dump the Dump Truck In Mechanical. Final Report of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Studies, Concentration of heavy Equipment, Polytechnic of Sriwijaya. 2014: xiv ± 59 pages Dump Truck is one unit of heavy equipment that is almost always can be found in the mining and construction process. In line with the development of science and technology in the modern era, a lot of simulations that have been created, both in the form of simulation on the screen or in the size of the prototype simulation. The working principle in this simulation tool that uses a DC electric motor as the driving and battery as the energy supplier. This tool can do that there is a general movement in the actual dump truck. Starting from the movement unload and can run. But at this tool in the process of combining the two movements are rear unload dump dump dump and side dump trucks which usually only have one dump unload process. Transport capacity of the tool that is equal to 2 kg and requires a servo motor as the driving rear dump and side dump because it has a torque of 12 kg/cm, while the forward and reverse motion is simulated using the wiper motor. The simulation consists of several parts: the substructure, the upper frame, tub, and a cabin that require processing time for 320 minutes and require the production cost of Rp 1.607.500,-.The results of planning simulation dump truck can also be used as a medium of teaching in the learning activities for the students of Department of Mechanical Engineering, Polytechnic of Sriwijaya.
