Abstract

ANALYSIS OF THE INTERNAL CONTROL SYSTEM IN PAYROLL AND WAGE MUBA ELECTRIC POWER (MEP) SEKAYU Sriwijaya Polytechnic Accounting Department By: Reza Nopriansa (Rezanopriansa@yahoo.co.id), 2015 (xi + 66 pages) The title of this final report is "Analysis of Internal Control Over payroll and wage system in PT Muba Electric Power (MEP) Sekayu located at Petro Muba Building third floor of the Great Hall of the district. Sekayu Musi Banyuasin. This company is Musi Banyuasin enterprises engaged in the electricity business, established since November 26, 2006, led by Ir. H Yasin. The title electoral purpose is to examine how internal control on payroll and wage systems at PT Muba Electric Power (MEP) Sekayu. In the payroll and wage system of internal controls which are very important to prevent the possibility of fraud or cheating by unscrupulous employees within the company. Internal control is the organizational structure, methods, and coordinated measures to safeguard the wealth of the organization, check the accuracy and reliability of accounting data, promote efficiency and compliance with management policies. At PT Muba Electric Power (MEP) internal control of payroll and wages include HRD section and finance, while the document /records used: card present hour, payroll and wages, salaries and wages slip, cash-out checks and evidence, the general journal Internal control systems PT Muba Electric Power (MEP) Sekayu not good because there is no segregation of duties between functions of making payroll and wages with salaries and wages payment function and the human resources department also doubles as a function of recording time because the company no time recording function, based on the above problems, the company should separate the function of making payroll with salaries and wages payment function and form a new section, namely the recording time so that the function of paint of attendance no longer concurrently by the HRD section.
