Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan hasil prediksi financial distress menggunakan Model Altman Z-Score dan Model Springate pada PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk periode 2020–2024. Latar belakang penelitian didasari oleh kondisi keuangan perusahaan yang mengalami fluktuasi ekstrem akibat pandemi COVID-19, proses PKPU, dan restrukturisasi utang besar-besaran. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan data sekunder berupa laporan keuangan tahunan yang diperoleh dari Bursa Efek Indonesia melalui teknik purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Model Altman Z-Score mengklasifikasikan perusahaan dalam kondisi financial distress pada tahun 2020, 2021, 2023, dan 2024, serta grey area pada tahun 2022. Model Springate mengklasifikasikan perusahaan berpotensi bangkrut pada tahun 2020, 2021, 2023, dan 2024, serta dinyatakan sehat pada tahun 2022. Kedua model menunjukkan hasil yang konsisten pada empat tahun pengamatan, namun berbeda pada tahun 2022. Perbedaan tersebut disebabkan oleh perbedaan bobot variabel, di mana Altman lebih menekankan aspek solvabilitas, sedangkan Springate lebih sensitif terhadap profitabilitas operasional. Secara keseluruhan, kondisi keuangan PT Garuda Indonesia selama periode penelitian belum menunjukkan stabilitas yang konsisten.
