Abstract
Manual sorting processes are still widely used, resulting in longer processing times and a higher risk of sorting errors. This study aims to design and develop a mini conveyor prototype as an automatic motorcycle spare parts sorting system using an ESP32-based QR Code. The research method includes hardware and software design, system assembly, programming using Arduino IDE, and testing of individual components and the overall system. The system consists of an ESP32 DevKit V1 as the main controller, an ESP32-CAM for QR Code scanning, an infrared sensor, a DC gearbox motor, servo motors, a MOSFET module, an LM2596 step-down module, a 16×2 I2C LCD, and a 12 V power adapter. The test results show that the ESP32-CAM successfully reads QR Codes at a distance of 5–25 cm, the infrared sensor accurately detects objects, and the servo motors correctly direct the items into the appropriate containers based on the QR Code information. Overall, the system performs well in detecting, identifying, and automatically sorting motorcycle spare parts, making it suitable as a learning medium and a foundation for developing industrial-scale automated sorting systems.
