Abstract

STEPPER MOTOR APPLICATIONS AND WAVECOM MODEM AT THE HEIGHT OF WATER DAM BASED MICROCONTROLLER ATMEGA8535 TRIHADI ANGGONO In Indonesia, there are still many use open and close the door on the dam is done manually by the operator or guard the floodgates. An operator should look at the condition of the dam at any time and opened the floodgates when the dam water level rises, and shut the door dam when the water level in the river rises. It is less efficient and frequent negligence on the carrier, so that the river water overflowed and caused flooding. Therefore we need a controller at the door automatically so that the dam can prevent flooding. The purpose of this research is to design automatic door control dam using stepper motors and modem wavecom for early notification of dam water level conditions based microcontroller ATMega 8535. By using Microcontroller ATMega8535 costs little and easy operation. The floodgates will open and close automatically based on the water level sensor is read. As a driver door in use stepper motors, which will work with reverse rotation. The working principle of this automatic doors maintain the elevation to keep it safe and do not cause floods.
