Abstract

The purpose of this report is for the author able to design an automatic garage door's lock controller with the use of an android smartphone via bluetooth communication. In order for the smartphone to send a command to the microcontroller, it has to be connected with bluetooth HC-05 module. When it connects, the bluetooth is able send a command from the smartphone to ATmega16 microcontroller which then it will retreive and process the command. Afterwards the microcontroller execute the command to become a data which forwarded to relay driver, and then the relay driver activates the solenoid as keylock controller. Also the ATmega16 microcontroller gives data to L293D motor driver which used for driving the motor to the right or to the left. The motor driver is applied as garage door's opener or shutter. Therefore the use of an android smartphone is very practical and also makes any jobs easier because one's doesn't need to open the garage door's directly but with just using a smartphone which used for unlock the garage door and open it or shut the garage door down and lock it.
