Abstract
To get a maximum result of the plants' growth and to reduce waste water, It is better to control the water given to the land so that it is not less or more. One way to determine whether the water needed by the plant is in accordance with its needs, it can be seen from the soil moisture. Automatic plant watering system is able to determine the value of soil moisture that plants need and perform automatic watering to keep the soil moisture. This instrumentation is equipped with soil moisture sensor YL 69 that can detect soil moisture values of plants. When soils are dry, the sensor will activate the relay that will turn on the pump. If the plant has reached the desired humidity, the sensor will turn off the relay that will switch off the pump. The data generated can be recorded on a SD card and sent to the website via the ESP 8266 to monitor soil moisture values.
