Abstract

OVER CURRENT RELAY COORDINATION IN MODEL FEEDER AT BETUNG MAIN SUBSTATION TO OUTGOING SEKAYU SWITCHING SUBSTATION (2014 : xvii + 71 Pages + List of Figures + List of Tables + List of Appendix) PRASTANTO PUTRA 0610 3031 1450 ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING STUDY PROGRAM STATE POLYTECHNIC OF SRIWIJAYA ABSTRACT Overcurrent relay is a protector that monitors the occurrence of short circuit, then provide power / signal driving in the coil breaker (trip coil) of circuit breakers which is relevant, when it detects a disturbance in the system that are in the area of supervision. To protect expensive utilities in electric power systems such as power transformers, so it requires good coordination among the upstream relay so that the relay does not trip beforehand or trip to downstream after the disturbance is dissapeared. Preparation of the final report is intended to determine the coordination of the work of overcurrent relay coordination in model feeder at the Betung main substation toward the outgoing sekayu switching substation. After the calculation, the setting of the feeder overcurrent relay is 373.3 A with TMS 0.34, outgoing side Sekayu switching substation to market is 155.79 A with TMS 0.05, and outgoing side Sekayu switching substation to kirana 154.48 A with TMS 0.05. After all the setting calculation is complete, the calculation results are compared with data attached in the field. . It can be seen that the magnitude of the short circuit fault current is influenced by the distance of the point of interruption. The greater the short circuit fault current, the faster the working time of the overcurrent relay. Keywords: over current relay, short circuit fault
