Abstract

This report describes the application ofWebcam on Arduino based Mobile Robot. The purpose and benefits whichare discussed onthisreportistoallow application of the Webcam on Arduino based Mobile Robot. When the Mobile Robot are exposed to a blue-coloredobject, the Webcam onthe robot is activated and gives its imagery directly to the RaspberryPi.AfterwardstheRaspberry Pi filtersthecolor other than bluefromretrievedimage and look for largestblue-coloredcontour then calculates contourcolor’smidpoint, later on results are transmitted to the Arduino with serial communication. Arduino which receives information from the Raspberry Pi using it as an indicator of a branching program where if the data received is more than 200, then the Arduino ordered the motor driver to turnMobile Robot to theright, if the received dataislessthan 120, then the Arduino ordered motor driver to turnMobile Robot tothe left and when the received data is other than those mentioned above, the Arduino ordered the motor driver to deflect Mobile Robot forward, until the ultrasonic sensor measures the distance Robot Car to bluetarget objects less than 10 inches. it can be concluded that the web camera can be used as a cheap alternative of formercostly Service Mobile Robot sensor.
