Abstract

Distribution Transformer is an important component in a distribution of an electricity from distribution substation to a consumer. Given the importance of a grounding system, the authors take the title of this final report on Effectivity of Grounding System on Pusri Area IV PT.Pupuk Sriwijaya. In the measurement results obtained for soil resistance 0.35 ohms. With the calculation results obtained 0.47 ohms. There is a difference between measurement and calculation of 0.12 ohm. This is because of differences in determining the type of soil. While for the measurement results of grounding resistance obtained 0.65 ohms with the result of the calculation is obtained 0.55 ohms. There is a difference between measurements and calculations of 0.10 ohms. This is because, the age factor on the electrode rod that makes a corrosion (rust) and also less accurate measurement results. But for the grounding system in TR46 Pusri is still good because by the standards of a PLN a good grounding system should be less than 5 ohms.
