Abstract

Distr ibutiontransformeristhemainequipmenttodistributeelectricalpowerfromhighvoltagetomediumvoltage.Duringtheoperationnotalwaysrunnormally,butsometimesthatcanleadtodisruptionandreducedreliabilityifnotaddressedcouldresultindamagetotheequipment.Therefore,theprotectionsystemisneededtosecuretheequipmentfrominterference.Whichoneofprotectionusedisgroundfaultrelay.Tomeetthereactionrateandselectivityofthegroundfaultrelaysareusedforsecuringoutgoingfeedermustbesetprecisely.Settinggroundfaultincludestherelaycurrentsettingandtime.Currentsettingandtimeshouldbeadjustedtotheshortcircuitfaultcurrentoccurs,thelengthofthefeeder,CTratioandthetypeofsoilfaultrelaysusedinthedistributionnetworkWaletfeederonPT.PLNPerserosubstationSedudukPutih.Theresultsofthecalculationsforthecurrentsettingof15.72Aprimaryandsecondarysettingcurrentof0.7A.Whilethesettingtimeof0.125SItset,settingatimeof0.04SItmssmallestandlargesttmssettingtimeof0.05SI.Keywor ds:distributionsystemprotection,shortcircuittoground,groundfaultrelay.
