Abstract

This research is focused on how to design a booklet of “The Portrait of People’s Life in The Banks of Musi River” written in both English and Indonesian languages. The research and development (R&D) method modified by Sukmadinata (2005) was used in this study. The method consist of preliminary study, product development, and testing. In designing the booklet, knowledge about people’s life in banks of Musi River, English and Indonesiam writing skills, and graphic design knowledge and skil were really needed. In developing the booklet draft, the criticsm and suggestions provided by experts were very valuable.
