Abstract

At any time the number of customers continues to grow then auto transformer load continues to increase so that over time the transformer is no longer able to bear the burden that already exceeds his ability. So if enforced could cause the transformer to explode thus making losses for PLN. Even with the terms of the operation of electric power systems. Required quality and reliability levels , one of which is to make sure the voltage and power are up to the customer to run properly and smoothly not experience a voltage drop or voltage drop in the voltage drop which is not in accordance with the standardization of PT PLN. So to anticipate the occurrence of undesirable things on the distribution transformer substation installation perform the inserts. This report investigates how large loading capacity transformer and voltage loss and loss before and after the power substation plus inserts. This report also compare between manual and ETAP ((Electrical Power System Analysis) 7.5 calculation. From the results of the calculations are done, that by installing substation transformer, capacity of the old transformer from 90,8% decrease be 64,7% (manual) or from 95,3% to be 58,7% (ETAP). With the substation inserts are placed close to the load, can also reduce voltage losses that before 2,89% to be 0,45% (manual) or 2,71 % to be 0,4% (ETAP). And also power loss that before 1,7114 kW to be 0,2602 kW (manual) or 1,5 kW to be 0,2 kW (ETAP). Key word : overload of transformer, voltage losses, and power losses
