Abstract
One of the most important components to support in operation in a power plant, especially the Gas and Steam Power Center (PLTGU) is a steam turbine. Which is where the steam turbine is used as a generator drive that will generate electrical energy. So it is very important to maintain the condition of the steam turbine in order to remain in the prime condition of the subject of the preparation of this Final Report which is a steam turbine in the power plant generator PLTGU. This Final Report is made by way of calculation through case study in PT.PLN (Persero) cerebral generating sector. From the case study it can be seen how the steam turbine works and it works where the gas from the rest of the steam generator is processed into steam and can drive the steam turbine, then the amount of output pressure, input and output temperatures for the turbine drive tend to be stable but pressure, turbine rotation, Electric energy tends to vary significantly when at peak load and the minimum load depends on the load used. Then the nominal spin of the steam turbine is 6237 rpm. When the rotation exceeds the tolerance limit round 5% or equal to 6549 rpm. When the rotation passes the tolerance limit then the protection will work.
