Abstract
Tujuan utama dari pengujian ini Penyusutan solidifikasi dan porositas adalah cacat-cacat yang paling umum dalam pengecoran. Berbagai teknik investigasi yang ada untuk memprediksi penyusutan solidifikasi dan porositas seperti modulus dan equi-solidifikasi waktu dan fungsi kriteria merupakan alternatif cara cara menginvestigasi yang akan digunakan. Berbagai fungsi kriteria termasuk kriteria Niyama, kriteria Niyama tanpa dimensi, dan kriteria Franco untuk prediksi penyusutan solidifikasi dan porositas juga merupakan alternatif dalam pembahasan ini. Dari literatur, pengecoran berbagai macam pulli dan baik terbuat dari paduan ferro dan non-ferro telah dianalisis untuk memprediksi lokasi penyusutan solidifikasi dan porositas menggunakan program simulasi solidifikasi menggunankan berbagai macam perangkat lunak seperti Procast, Magmasoft, Autocast, Solidcast, Altair sedangkan dalm skripsi ini akan digunakan Software Altair Hasil simulasi program komputer akan digunakan dan dibandingkan dengan hasil uji eksperimen dalam pembuatan benda-benda tuang sederhana seperti pulli.
