Abstract

Energy crisis that occurred at this time due to the increasing levels of energy use increasingly not worth the availability of existing energy. This problem requires every industry in the world to be able to streamline and minimize energy use for the purposes of the process. The goal of this optimization is to improve the operating conditions in the column de-Ethanizer in order to get the most optimal conditions and minimize the work of the condenser duty and reboiler duty. Hysys Optimizer is an objective function that is used in an operating condition which minimizes or maximizes the object to be optimized. Data were collected for the manufacture of process simulation using Aspen Hysys. Once optimized by changing the conditions in the column de-Ethanizer, a decline in energy requirements is the Condenser Duty from 1728 kW to 700 kW and 2468 kW of reboiler duty be 1642 kW. From the results of this optimization study, it can be concluded that the optimization of energy systems using Aspen Hysys Optimizer, energy and cost savings occur significantly in the process of LPG Refinery System in PT.
