Abstract
Incinerator is a crusher or destruction of organic waste through combustion in a system that is controlled and isolated from the surrounding environment. Latief (2010) says that the process of wastewater treatment using incineration can reduce waste combustible already can not be recycled again, kill bacteria, viruses and toxic chemicals. One of the advantages that the latest technologies are developed continuously in is garbage incineration can be destroyed quickly, restrained and in situ, and do not require large tracts of land. Incinerators are designed to have two combustion chamber, the combustion chamber is composed of a primary chamber that serves as the combustion air supply is limited so will cause pyrolysis, subsequent pyrolysis gas is burned completely in the secondary chamber with excess air supply with a view to further refine combustion process. Complete combustion of pyrolysis gas will produce CO2 and H2O. The purpose of this study was to determine the optimal combustion process in terms of the heat of combustion reactions are influenced by the air pressure inside. Based on the calculation of the variation in air pressure of 1.2 bar, 1.4 bar, 1.6 bar, 1.8 bar and 2 bars come by the heat of reaction of -1380.5 kcal, -1262.2 kcal, -1201.6 kcal, -1075.8 kcal, and -1077.2 kcal. Keywords: Incinerator, Heat Combustion Reaction, Primary Chamber, Secondary Chamber, Pyrolisis
