Abstract
The title of this final report is The Study of Palembang Traditional Wedding Ceremony. The problem is what are the original steps carried out on Palembang Traditional Wedding Ceremony. The purpose of this final report is to know the original steps carried out on Palembang Traditional Wedding Ceremony. The method of this report was qualitative descriptive method. The writer collected data through observation, interview and documentation. The result of this report is to know the differences process of wedding implementation between Palembang Traditional Wedding Tradition. The conclusions show that the Palembang Traditional Wedding Ceremony consists of 9 steps. It start from Madik, Menyenggung, Meminang or melamar, Berasan, Mutusan kato, followed by the engagement “Pertunangan”, Perkawinan (Wedding), Mengarak pacar, Munggah, pengsuhan terakhir ceremonies, Mandi Simburan and the last Cacapcacapan and Febriadi –Aulia just perform 6 steps. The reason Febriadi and Aulia do not apply that procession because of the economy factor and for saving a time.
