Abstract

The electric car is a vehicle with no emissions that has become one of alternatives to reduce the air pollution. Therefore, the development of energy-efficient vehicles based on environmentally friendly is now very advanced rapidly in comparison with the pastyears. ACS712 current sensor is a sensor that works based on field effect. The current sensor can be used to measure AC or DC current. The applications sensor ACS712 is to measure the capacity of batteries in electric cars is used to determine available capacity on batteries and also to determine the estimated remaining travel time on batteries. ACS712 sensors used to measure battery capacity based on calculation from current flow BLDC motors in electric cars and to determine the estimated battery usage time used the comparison between the available capacity divided by the overall current on the electric car. By using this tool is expected to know the capacity of the batteries and the estimated time the use of batteries in electric cars so that the driverknow when it's time to recharge
