Abstract

Automation is an alternative that is inevitable to obtain a working system which are simple, practical, and efficient. To support this process can be used Programmable Logic Control (PLC). This design is intended to create a device that can be used to stamp the goods automatically using the PLC programme. The purpose of this goods stamp process is serves to obtain an item or product that has the brand (Merk). Sensors that used in this process are photodiode sensors and fiber optic sensors. Photodiode will detect the existence of goods and fiber optic will recognize colored objects that move the goods stamp device. When goods are detected, photodiode and fiber optic will turn on and send a signal to the PLC as an input device. Goods will recognized according to the desired color or not. Objects will be stamped and selected based on the desired color. From the results of testing, the stamp machine control system design using programmable logic control (PLC) has a provision for wind pressure ranges from 3 bar - 4 bar, so that the system works based on the design. Keywords : Automation, photodiode sensors, Fiber Optic Sensors, Programmable Logic Control (PLC).
