Abstract
Turmeric (Curcuma Longla L) is one of spice plants and original medicine from Southeast Asia region, it has a high curcumin contains, the ratio of curcuminoid in turmeric are curcumin I 75%, curcumin II (demetoxycurcumin ) 16%, and Curcumin III (bisdemethoxycurcumin) 8% (Kusuma, 2012). curcuminoid compound in turmeric extract has anti-oxidants, the effect are useful to protect the body from free radicals, to brighten skin, and treating a dermatitis. The purpose of these research are to get the best formula of the composition of the oil and the addition of turmeric extract as an antioxidant in the solid soap. The composition of the oils in solid soap are palm, coconut and olive oil. The analysis of soap consist of, water contains, alkali free levels, free fatty acid and mineral oil based on SNI 06-3532-1994, the pH and antioxidant levels on the solid soap with increasing turmeric extract as an antioxidant. the result showed that all soap formulations met The Indonesian Standard Formula (SNI). the analysis found the best formula of soap are with a variation of oils that consist of palm, coconut and olive oil that has same volume respectively and addition of turmeric extract as an antioxidant is 9gr with antioxidant content 5.04gr in solid soap.
