Abstract
This research aims to determine the effect and the relationship between emotional Quotient (EQ) towards the performance of employees in PT Sri Metriko Utamawidjaja palembang. The writer use quitionare and interview to get data for this research. For analysis data of this research, writer use simple regression analysis and correlation product moment. In this research writer found if emotional quotient has an effect to performance employees at PT Sri Metriko Utamawidjaja Palembang. It can see in the result of the analysis, the research get Y = 10.5 + 0.5X, in this result we can see the infomation, if Performance of Employees will increase with the emotional quotient. And for correlation, this research get 0.628, this result describe if emotional quotient has a relationship with performance of employees. And then the writer found if emotional quotient gave an influence for performance employee as big as 39.4%. Keywords: Emotional Quotient, Performance of Employees
