Abstract

The purpose of the authors conducted this study was to determine the effect of absenteeism on labor discipline and the absence of most dominanan variable in affecting labor discipline. Issues studied by the authors is the effect of the absence of the discipline of work on SMP 12 Palembang and absenteeism variables which are the most dominant influence on the discipline of work on SMP Negeri 12 Palembang. The method used in this study is a qualitative analysis using questionnaires distributed to media throughout the sample of 73 people, and quantitative analysis by using SPSS (Statistics Product and Service Solutions) for Windows version 19.0. The results of this research the amount of absenteeism on SMP Negeri 12 Palembang is 79.9% with 94.5% of the working discipline. There is the influence of the absence of the work discipline of 5.479 is the significance of the partial effect of 19.9%. This means that there is a weak correlation between the absence of labor discipline. There is absence of the dominant variable affecting labor discipline that punishes variables that really hurt. Thus the school should continue to improve labor discipline and reduce absenteeism by implementing a system to punish the really sick and assertiveness leadership. Should still maintain a punishing attitude really sick with the courage to be firm and fair to all subordinates. Key Word: Absence and discipline
