Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the influence of marketing mix towards students’ decision in choosing Ristek Educational Course Palembang. The writer gave the questionnaire to 76 students of Ristek Educational Course Palembang by using non probability sampling technique with purposive sampling. The variables in the marketing mix were product, price, place, promotion, people, physical evidence, and process. The writer found that there was an influence in marketing mix towards student's decision in choosing Ristek Educational Course Palembang. The result showed that value of R adjusted square was 98%. The result was 98% of students’ decision were influenced by marketing mix and 2% influenced another factor outside of the research. It could be concluded that there was a dominant element of marketing mix towards students’ decision in choosing Ristek Educational Course Palembang which was place. Because of that, Ristek Educational Course Palembang should be able to maintain and increase the influence of marketing mix's element, for example opening a new branch in Palembang, so the educational course is not only one, but can be more. Moreover, by opening new branches, the number of students enrolled in Ristek Educational course Palembang can be increase.
