Abstract

This report discussed about the design process of printed tourist T-shirts to promote tourism objects and culinary of Palembang. The purpose of this final report is to give information about how to design of printed tourist T-shirts to promote tourism objects and culinary in Palembang. In this final report, the writer used Research and Development modification developed by Sukmadinata (2008: 184-191). The “Research and Development” includes 3 steps: (1) Preliminary study, (2) Model Development and (3) Final product testing. There were four experts chosen using purposive sampling who participated in this research. The data were taken by observation and documentation in order to revise the preliminary product into the final one. It was revealed that in designing T-shirts, knowledge about tourism objects and culinary of Palembang, the writing skills, photography and graphic design knowledge. were needed. Besides, it was also required proper application to create the design, as well as suggestions and comments from experts like the use of attractive colors, tagline of the tourism or culinary objects.
