Abstract
The aim of this research was to write a novella entitled Words to present Kemaro Island as a historical tourism attraction in Palembang. The purpose of this research was to inform the reader how the writer constructed the content of novella. In this research the writer used modified and developed research and development method by Sukmadinata (2005). The steps were preliminary study, model development and final product testing. In the preliminary study the writer collected the data by literature study and online interview then the writer arranging the draft. In the model development there were limited testing and product development. While in final product consist of product production and dissemination. There were three experts that participated in this research, they were giving the comments and suggestions in forms of language and content of the novella. As the final result, the novella then printed in the form of book to support this final report and uploaded to Wattpad to gain more readers and to spread the story to public. The writer expects the future researchers and authors to participate in promoting tourism attractions, one of them is through written media such as novels or novellas so that people or the reader could get knowledge and information about tourist attraction in our country. If the Tourism Attraction is being promoted well via novel or novella, this can make the tourist attraction known by many people so that people will feel interested in visiting it
