Abstract

This report discusses the American social values in Arthur Miller’s “Death of A Salesman” drama existed in the main character. The purpose of this study is to know what American values are extant in the drama Death of A Salesman. To analyze the American values in the play, the primary and secondary source are applied. The result of the analysis of the play Death of A Salesman shows that there are three American social values found : competition, hard work, and materialism.
