Abstract

Lightning is the phenomena of nature are very dangerous . Even worse if the a bolt of lightning disrupt the system of electric power good that can cause voltage destructive more isolation equipment and could cause the occurrence of hyphen a short if a current of exceeding the limit of a current of about . Therefore on main station, fitted protection of a bolt of lightning namely lightning arrester. On a hill siguntang main station , a kind of arrester used is arrester eksplusi a kind of .From the results of reckoning the distances arrester the deployment of resources to a transformer 30 mva 70 / 20 kv in PT.PLN( persero ) main station hill siguntang is 4,37 meters. While which installed in the field is 3.5 meters. This must be known so that we can determine the distance that is effective in placement arrester against a transformer resources. Because if getting close arrester mounted , the more one is good too security against a bolt of lightning .
