Abstract

ABSTRACT APPLICATIONS SHARP GP2Y0A21 SENSOR IN PROTOTYPE BOAT ROBOT GARBAGE CARRIER BASED ON MICROCONTROLLER ATMEGA2560 TRY SOELAIMAN BASKORO Lack of public awareness of the surrounding environment is still common ,espcecially watersheds . In this case we need janitors so that in here we also need technology for helping the janitors . The variety of evolving technologies the automatically system work specifically in the field of robotics . For example is the use of garbage robotic boat . This robot is one of mobile robot which is able to operate on the surface of the water and also can be moved automatically based on obtacle around it with the help of proximity sensors with the help of proximity sensors that can detect the presence of objects or obstacles that were around the robot (in front of , right, and left) . The sensor is SHARP GP2Y0A21 , where the sensor is able to detect an object about 10 cm to 80 cm . This sensor has a transmitter or emitter section and a receiver (detector) will emit the infrared signal from the infrared reflection. Whereas reflection from infrared it will be captured by the detector section (if it on the object). If the object away when the light will be more acceptable to the right (the direction of the receiver) and the output voltage will be much smaller and rather it . We can see at the time of measurement. This can be seen when measuring the output voltage on the sensor. This sensor also plays a role in the movement of the robot when it is operating as a conduit to other components such reactions, compass module 3-Axiss, DC motors and servo motors Keyword : Boat robot , Mobile robot , proximity sensor, SHARP GP2Y0A21, Infrared .
