Abstract

This final report aim to know the role of motivation in an effort to improve the job satisfaction of civil servants in Badan Perpustakaan Pemerintah Provinsi Sumatera Selatan. The data used in this study are secondary data and primary data, which was collected through interviews and distributed quistioners to employees as many as 46 samples. The result of report showed that the security need is more encouraging employees to work with a percentage of 87% compared to the physiological needs of 78%, although these needs are basic needs of employees. Based on the result in this research, the authors suggest that the five hierarchy Maslow’s of needs to be preserved because it is a strong incentive to make employees fulfill those requirements
