Abstract
The purpose of this study is to know the company's ability to generate profits seen from the analysis of horizontal and profitability ratios and how to increase the percentage of business profitability ratios. The company is located in Ogan Komering Ulu, Baturaja. In collecting the data, the authors used field research, observation, interview and library research. The result of this study are the analysis of the horizontal in the last 2 years (2011-2012) has increased significantly by 59% for 2011 and for 2012, 34% from the base year 2008. Nonetheless operating expenses to be borne by the company remain increasing every year. Profitability ratios fluctuated particularly in the last 4 years (2009-2012), namely to profit before tax and gross profit. It is caused by the decrease in revenues received by the company plus the amount still operating expenses. Based on the research results it is expected that the company can minimize the use of funds for business travel, as well as utilizing the communication load management costs to optimize the process of marketing of products and customers can add up.
