Abstract

DESIGN AND MANUFACTURE MOLD OF PLAQUE AMPERA FOR SOUVENIR Casting is a manufacturing process of a metal workpiece by way of a metal melt at a certain temperature, then poured into molds and allowed to cool and freeze. The main objective in this brass mold making is to speed up the production process, with a relatively short time and produce a product that many (mass). In this report we make molds to produce plaque, because plaques Ampera is biased and marketable souvenirs. The design of the metal mold is made based on the theory and practice where theory is obtained from a variety of books and practice gained from interviews with foundry. Preferred type of mold is mold permanent mold casting of brass which used to be a material mengecor aluminum metal production. The results of this metal mold design is Plaque Ampera, where the manufacturing process is done by pouring molten metal into molds.
