Abstract

This final report aimed to analyze the connotative meaning and moral struggle in the song “Die on This Hill” by Sienna Spiro. This study used a descriptive qualitative method. The data were taken from the song lyrics as the primary data and supported by books and journals as secondary data. The data were collected through documentation and analyzed by identifying and interpreting words, phrases, and expressions that contained connotative meaning. The analysis was based on semantic theory and moral struggle theory. The results showed that the song contained connotative meanings that expressed emotions such as love, pain, and loyalty. These meanings also reflected moral struggle, especially internal conflict between feelings and logical thinking.
