Abstract
The title of this final report is “Designing a Guidebook for Backpackers in Visiting Palembang City”. This report discusses the way of designing the product in form of guidebook which contains the complete information about tourism destination in Palembang. The purpose of this report is to design a guidebook that contains information of tourism destination in Palembang as a tool of information for backpackers in visiting Palembang city. The methodology of this research was research and methodology. There are 3 steps applying in this methodology. They are Preliminary study, Model development and Final product testing. In preliminary study, the data were collected by doing interview, observation and documentations. After that, in model development the writer did field limited testing and field wider testing to develop the product. The last, the writer validated the product by doing final product testing. Based on the findings, the writer made a design that can help the backpackers in visiting Palembang city. The conclusion and suggestion are that guidebook can help the backpackers in visiting Palembang city
