Abstract
THE ERRORS IN WRITING DESCRIPTIVE TEXT AT SECOND SEMESTER OF ENGLISH DEPARTMENT STUDENTS (Nyayu Hamidah, 2016, 27 Pages, 1 Table, 1 Diagram) The purposes of this final report are to know what kinds of errors and to know the percentage of error in students’ descriptive text. The writer used descriptive quantitative method where the writer described one by one the error and calculated the percentage of errors in students’ descriptive text. The data were collected through written product which was made by second semester students of English department students. After getting the data, the writer calculated and made the percentage of errors into a chart. It could be concluded that there were 4 types of errors which were made by second semester students of English department. They were omission (64.28%), addition (6.04%), misinformation (28.57%) and the last misordering (1,09%).
