Abstract
THE IMPORTANCE OF OVERSEAS FIELD TRIP FOR STUDENTS OF ENGLISH DEPARTMENT OF STATE POLYTECHNIC OF SRIWIJAYA (Annisa Adani Nur Sabrina, 2016, 38 pages, 10 tables, 2 pictures, 10 graphs) The main problem of this research is about “what is the importance of overseas field trip for students of English Department of Sriwijaya Polytechnic”. The purpose of this research is to find out the important role of overseas field trip in supporting the students learning of English Department. The writer collected the data by observe the documentation, interview and questionnaire. Then the writer analyzed and made the percentage of the advantage of overseas field trip as learning practice for students of English Department. Based on the findings, there are some advantages of overseas field trip for the students. They are able to experience and learn new knowledge, culture, tourism and regulation of foreign country, improves the communication skill, built teamwork, so the students are able to develop a deeper understanding about the lesson they learned in college.
