Abstract
INTERNET AS THE MEDIUM IN INCREASING THE ENGLISH DEPARTMENT STUDENTS’ PUBLIC SPEAKING SKILLS (Rizky Sandi Nugroho, 2016, 31 pages, 1 table) This research aims to find out what how the Internet play a role in students majoring in English in improving their public speaking skills. The method of this report is qualitative descriptive method. The research techniques for collecting the data are questionnaire, interview and library/internet research. The writer knows if every student in the English Department has a different view on the role of the Internet in improving their public speaking skills, they also used their respective media in improving their public speaking skills. The authors find if there are agreed that the internet plays a role in increasing their public speaking skills, but some disagree. The conclusion of this final report are Internet is has a role to make public speaking of the student majoring in English to be better than not. This can be seen from the percentage obtained, students agree that the internet has a role in improving their public speaking skills more than those who disagree.
