Abstract

Electrical energy is one of the most energy needed by the citizen to meet the needs of households and industry. Distribution of electrical energy that does will work optimally when services are provided in accordance with a quality that must be met by PT. PLN (Persero). However, a growing number of consumers as well as the excessive load on the transformer and the optimal result in reduced quality. One of them M. 87 distribution substations located in Cungkediro feeders that serve residential loads with a load attached 113.68 kVA, while the capacity of distribution transformers that serve the residential load is 100 kVA, where the assignment of more than 90 % or are in overload conditions amounting to 23,68% of the maximum. These conditions no longer meet the standards set forth in the specification SPLN 50:1997 optimal distribution transformer a transformer that weighed 60 % to 80 % of its capacity. Seeing these conditions, need for a solution to overcome the problems that occur are overload, voltage drop and power losses that occur in every major conductor at distribution substation M. 87. One way is by installing an additional distribution substation. Finding out the results of simulation conducted on the application of ETAP 11.0.0. Then the results obtained from the simulation ETAP11.0.0, loading at distribution substations M. 87 into 65.69 % of its capacity, then the value of the power loss conductor 0,9 kW to majors A and 12,9kW for majors C then reduced to 0.6 kW to 1.4 kW majors for A and C majors and also fixes the voltage drop occurs, amounting to 3.76 % majors A and majors C of 17.71 % was decreased to 2.45 % to majors A and 3.34% to majors C. ETAP 11.0.0 seen that application can be used to help analyze as well as a solution to overload, power losses and voltage drop in distribution substations M.87, then the result can create the optimal work distribution transformers will be longer.
