Abstract

Electrical energy at this point is very important, in the process of providing electrical energy to the consumer includes an electric power system that requires an apparatus and one of them is the power transformer. To maintain the smooth distribution of electric power to consumers to be aware of is security, be it safety equipment or safety of workers. Issues regarding the earthing system security is how to maintain the stability of the value of the existing grounding resistance and grounding resistance determine whether the power transformer is in conformity with the existing regulations are grounding resistance value must be below or equal to 5 ohms pursuant PUIL 2000 / below or equal to 1 ohm according to the standard provisions of the PT. PLN(Persero). Of the problem, we perform the analysis and calculation of earthing systems in power transformers based on a comparison between the measured data is 0.06 ohms, and the result of the calculation is 0.074 ohms. The difference between the measurement and the calculation is 0.014 ohms. In accordance with the above circumstances it can be concluded that the value of the resistance of the grounding system in substation power transformer PT. PLN(Persero) Bukit Siguntang has been complied with and it is recommended that perform maintenance with the earthing system is scheduled to maintain the performance of the grounding system remains optimal. iv
