Abstract

Utilization 0f Coal Fly Ash as a Resources of Silica In ZSM-5 Synthesis With Variation Influence Of SiO2/Al2O3 Ratio and Synthesis Temperature (Khoiriyah Sari, 2014, 41 pages, 8 tables, 32 pictures, 4 enclosure) Indonesia has abundance coal. Coal is used by industry as fuel. Coal burning was producted waste such as fly ash and bottom ash coal. Fly ash coal contained the high silicate and alumminate. The research about fly ash coal have a good prospect to converted become zeolite synthetic such as ZSM-5. It has incresed usage in industry, either as cation exchanger, absorber, or catalyst. The synthetic zeoltes more liked then natural one because they have better stability along with better activity and selectivity. ZSM-5 (Zeolite Socony Moil-5) is a type of synthetic Zeolite that used in various industry processes. The researh learned to converted become zeolite ZSM-5 and to know effect of SiO2/Al2O3 ratio of synthesis of ZSM- 5. Zeolite synthesis was conducted using hydrothermal method with temperature synthesis crystallisation varied at (180, 200, and 220 0C) and comparison of SiO2/Al2O3 mole ratio (30, 35, 40, 45, 50) were used at constant crystalisation time 24 hour. Solid samples were characterised used XRD. The results of XRD analysis showed that at SiO2/Al2O3 mole ratio 50 and temperature 2200C, zeolite ZSM-5 was produced at crystallinisation grade of 82%.
