Abstract
THE EFFECT OF FIXER (WITH VARIAN MASS) ON THE COLOR FADING IN THE PROCESS OF COTTON IMMERSION BY USING NATURAL DYES FROM JATI LEAVES (Tectona grandis sp.) (Anggie Nurayusustini, 2014, 68 pages, 9 Tables, 48 Pictures, 18 attachments) This research aim detects how the effect of fixer (with varian mass) on the color fading in the process of cotton immersion by using natural dyes from jati leaves.Thereare threetypes offixerthatcan beusedforthefixationprocessareAlum(A12(SO4) 3), Tunjung(FeSO4.7H2O) andCalcium Oxide(CaO). Materialthatusedarecottoncloththatdyedwithnaturaldyesfromnaturaldyesofjatileaf,t hencontinuedworking fixation with varian mass 1 gr, 5 gr, 10 gr, 15 gr, and 20 gr on the colorfaded enduranceagainstwashing.Theresearchresultshows that thereisrealinfluenceinfiksersolution mass against color faded endurance towards wash, reviewed from color change seem from the absorbance in cotton cloth that dye with extract jati leaf natural dyes.There is no real influence cotton cloth in Alum solution mass use 1 gr, 5 gr, 10 gr, 15 gr and 20 gr absorbance and stable color fastness, whencomparedwithcottonclothwithTunjung and Calcium Oxidate solution1 gr, 5 gr, 10 gr, 15 gr, and 20 gr.
