Abstract
Laksan, Lenggang and 8 jam cake are traditional food from Palembang. The information about those three foods can be inserted in the comic story to promote culinary in Palembang. The purpose of the study is to know how to write the comic story of “Two Days in Palembang” to promote culinary in Palembang. The study used stages of Research and Development (R&D) method by simplifying Sukmadinata’s (2019) research and development model. Two steps -- Preliminary Study, and Development of the Product --. In preliminary study, the draft of comic story was written based on Rahayu’s (2015) theory about steps of writing comic story. Four experts in development of the product commented in two aspects: language and content of the comic story. Then grammar (tenses), capitalizations, word choices and layout of panel was revised. By reading comic book of “Two Days in Palembang” it is hoped that readers read it not only for pleasure but also for getting information about three types of culinary in Palembang.
