Abstract

This final report was aimed at finding out how to design Video Script of Kampung Sayur Cempaka as a New Tourism Destination in Palembang. This report is used to find complete information about Kampung Sayur Cempaka by writing video script of Kampung Sayur Cempaka. The title of this final report is "Designing Video Script of Kampung Sayur Cempaka as a New Tourism Destination in Palembang". The writer used Research and Development method, developed by the Borg and Gall (1983) and modified by Plomp (1997). This modified method consisted of five steps, as the following: Preliminary, Investigation, Designing, Realization/Construction, Testing, Revising, and Evaluating, and Implementation. The writer implemented these steps in designing the product (video script). The data were collected through observation, and interview in preliminary investigation step. Then, in designing step, the writer arranged the structure and content of the script and made it become the first draft as a realization step. Next, in testing, revising, and evaluating step, there were 2 experts participated in limited testing, and there were 3 participants in wider testing. All experts contributed in this research by giving suggestion and comments to revise the product into final version. The revisions were focused on linguistics for writing script. Thus, in the last step, the writer made it become the final script. Based on the findings, the writer made a video script of Kampung Sayur Cempaka as a new tourism destination in Palembang. It is concluded that the video script may give knowledge and information to the readers about Kampung Sayur Cempaka.
