Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk dapat menemukan strategi dalam mengembangkan wisata budaya Midang untuk dapat menarik minat berkunjung wisatawan ke Kabupaten Ogan Komering Ilir melalui wisata budaya Midang. Lokasi penelitian ini berada di Kayu Agung. Peneliti menggunakan metode Kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode pengumpulan data yaitu wawancara, kuesioner, dokumentasi dan studi pustaka. Peneliti menggunakan rumus Roscoe sebagai Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan jumlah 30 responden yang dilakukan secara Purposive Sampling. Data yang dikumpulkan dianalisis menggunakan analisis SWOT, Matriks EFAS dan IFAS, Matriks Grand Strategy dan Matriks QSPM. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa wisata budaya Midang berada pada posisi kuadran I (0,19 dan 1,56), posisi ini menggunakan strategi mendukung kebijakan pertumbuhan yang agresif yang menggunakan kekuatan untuk memanfaatkan peluang. Sehingga, wisata budaya Midang dapat melakukan 8 strategi yang terdiri dari SO, WO, ST, WT dengan 3 strategi prioritas S-O sebagai langkah awal dari strategi, yakni: Memperkenalkan wisata budaya Midang dengan mempromosikannya di flatform sosial media informatif, membuat website khusus wisata budaya Midang dan membuka penginapan berbasis rumah panggung disekitaran wisata budaya yang terintegrasi dengan paket wisata online dan menginvestasikan dana melalui sebuah museum yang difungsikan untuk melestarikan budaya Midang seperti Baju Adat, Alat Musik serta sejarah dari Tradisi Midang. Maka dalam pengembangannya, pihak terlibat harus bekerja sama agar wisata budaya Midang dapat menarik minat wisatawan untuk berkunjung.
