Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui kondisi lingkungan internal, eksternal, kekuatan, kelemahan, peluang dan ancaman serta strategi pengembangan objek wisata Via Crucis Sukamoro di Kabupaten Banyuasin. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif dan analisis SWOT Analisis deskriptif digunakan untuk mendeskripsikan atraksi, aksesibilitas dan amenitas di Via Crucis Sukamoro. Sedangkan analisis SWOT digunakan untuk mengolah data yang didapat dari hasil kuesioner kedalam matriks IFAS dan EFAS, matriks grand strategy, dan matriks SWOT Hasil analisis SWOT, diperoleh 12 strategi alternatif pengembangan Via Crucis Sukamoro yaitu stategi S-O membuat paket wisata khusus kegiatan keagamaan, membuat tempat makan keluarga di dalam Via Crucis, dan memakai media sosial dengan lebih untuk memberikan informasi mengenai keindahan Via Crucis Sukamoro oleh pengelola. Strategi W-O menyediakan pemandu wisata khusus Via Crucis Sukamoro, menyediakan petunjuk arah untuk menuju ke Via Crucis Sukamoro, menyediakan petugas pengawasan di kawasan Jalan Salib. Strategi S-T membuat paket liburan keluarga atau sekolah yang dari luar kota ataupun didalam kota, menjalin kerjasama dengan travel agent, promosi Strategi W-T melakukan pengawasan yang ekstra di parkiran motor, mengaspal jalan lorong menuju Via Crucis Sukamoro, melakukan pengawasan yang ekstra terhadap wisatawan yang dekat dengan patung yang di sekitaran Jalan Salib Via Crucis.
