Abstract

This research aims to make a short film script “Making a Script of Mak Sumay for Short Film to Promote South Sumatera Folklore”. The problem is how to make a script of Mak Sumay for short film to promote South Sumatera folklore?”. The method of this final report is Research and Development (R&D) modified developed by Sukmadinata. The method consists of three steps: preliminary study, model development, and final product. The research techniques for collecting the data are observation and interview. Based on the findings, the writer found that making a script for short film can be an option to introduce the culture to the people started from reviewing, surveying, and revision. The knowledge about the story, information about script writting, and English writing skill knowledge were really needed. In developing the script draft, the criticism and suggestions provided by experts were valuable.
