Abstract

This final report is aimed to know how to design a storybook entitled “Bujang Kurap”. The writer used the Borg and Gall (1983) Research and Development (R&D) method modified by Sukmadinata (2017).Thismodified method consisted of three stages as the following: preliminary study, model development, and final product testing. In the interview were conducted via WhatsApp and Email platform due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. There were three experts participated in limited testing, namely linguistics, design, and content experts, and in wider testing, there were six participants. All participants were chosen using purposive sampling. They contributed in this research by giving suggestion and comments to revise the product into final version. The revisions were focused on diction, and punctuation for writing story; and font, sources of the picture, and closing section vintage from the design expert. Moreover, the participants from wider testing suggested to add moral lesson to have good coherence in the writing.
