Abstract
This final report aims to write a short story entitled After the Rain with setting of tourism destinations. The purpose of this final report is to apply the steps in writing a short story with the title “After the Rain” to find out the process in writing a short story which contains to some tourism destinations in Bangka Island as the setting place. This study is expected to provide some information about the steps of writing short story. The problem discussed in this report is how to write a short story which contains some tourism destinations in Bangka Island. In this final report, the writer used the research method developed by Sukmadinata (2005) that consists of preliminary study, model development, and product testing and dissemination. In this case, the writer only stopped the work until the revision from wider testing and did not do the product testing and dissemination because the lack of time, and budget. The writer expects the future researcher to use product testing and dissemination to make the product more developed, can be more creative in introducing tourism destinations in Bangka Island.
